FY-006

AI is giving us recommendations, but we are still not clear what happens next.

What is supposed to happen after the recommendation appears?

AI can produce a recommendation quickly.

That does not mean the organization is ready to act on it.

A useful question is:

When the recommendation appears, is it clear who owns the decision?

Who decides?

Who has authority to act?

Is the recommendation only advice, or does it trigger action?

If action is required quickly, can that authority actually be exercised in time?

The recommendation may be sound.

The problem may be what happens around it.

Decision rights, authority, escalation, or execution may still be unclear.

The real question becomes:

Does the organization know how a recommendation becomes governed action?

AIMT separates recommendation, decision, authority, and execution.

They are connected, but they are not the same thing.

Understanding does not make a decision.

A decision does not automatically create authority.

Authority does not guarantee that action can actually be executed.

Technical ability to act is not the same as organizational authority to act.

As AI accelerates recommendations, those distinctions become more important.

Choose one recurring AI recommendation. Follow what happens next:

  • Who decides?

  • Who has authority?

  • Can the recommendation be rejected or changed easily?

  • When is escalation required?

  • Can the authorized action actually be executed?

If those questions cannot be answered clearly, the gap is not in the recommendation alone.
